Setting up LCAbyg on macOS — first time
Because LCAbyg is not yet signed for macOS, the first launch requires a few extra clicks. Follow the steps below.

Extract the dmg file
Once you've downloaded LCAbyg for macOS, a .dmg file will be in your Downloads folder. Double-click it to open the installer window.

Drag to Applications
Drag the LCAbyg icon into the Applications folder and wait for the copy to finish. The app will then appear in Launchpad alongside your other programs.

Approve on first open
The first time you try to open LCAbyg, you may get a security warning saying the developer cannot be verified. We're aware of this and are working to resolve it in an upcoming version.

Open via right-click
Click Cancel on the warning. Open Finder and go to Applications (usually in the left sidebar). Right-click LCAbyg and choose the top menu item "Open". Confirm with "Open" in the dialog that follows.

Wait for startup
LCAbyg can take up to 15 seconds to open depending on the age of your Mac — the icon in the dock will bounce while the program starts up.
Subsequent launches
Once you've gone through this process once, later launches are simpler — just click the LCAbyg icon in Launchpad. No further security dialogs will appear.
